Terri J. Reed

Terri J. Reed, 65, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 1:36 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at her residence, in McPherson. Terri was born in Guymon, Oklahoma on November 18, 1957, a daughter of Leeman and Gearldine (Ramey) Underwood, Jr. Terri attended Texhoma grade school, Texhoma, Texas, Booker grade school, Booker, Texas thru the 8th grade. The family moved to Norway where Terri attended Stavanger American Schools, Stavanger, Norway through her Junior year and graduated from Perryton High School, Perryton, Texas in 1976. She then attended and graduated from Frank Phillips Junior College, Borger, Texas. Terri J. Underwood was united in marriage to Ronnie L. Reed on June 18, 1977 at Perryton, Texas. The young couple established their first home together in Borger, Texas until 1981 when they moved to McPherson, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of two children, a daughter and a son, Tiffany and Blake. She was a member of First Christian Church in McPherson, where she was involved in many capacities. Terri was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Terri worked for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company and worked in the print shop, Ebaugh's Gifts Unlimited, Elliott Insurance Company, and the Cooks Nook. Terri and her husband Ronnie helped start the FUSE Foundation and established the Mac To Mac Blake Reed Football Scholarship. Terri enjoyed cooking, going on vacations, spending time with her family and friends and was a very social person. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Ronnie Reed, of McPherson, Kansas; her daughter Tiffany Goracke and her husband Ben, of Bonner Springs, Kansas; her siblings, Jeanice Robinson and her husband Don, of Lampasas, Texas and Jay Underwood, of Eden, Texas. She is also survived by her grandson, Reed Elijah Goracke; her niece, Monica Stephen and her husband Josh, Lampasas, Texas and their children, Lilian and Decil. Terri was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Blake Austin Reed and brother Jimmy Underwood and his wife Gabi Underwood and her sister in law, Zonya Reed. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, McPherson, Kansas. Burial will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 17, 2023 at the First Christian Church, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Neil Engle officiating. Memorial contributions are to Mac to Mac Blake Reed Football Scholarship or FUSE Foundation and they can be sent in care of the Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home; 222 W.
