Aaron J. Sander

Aaron J. Sander, 61, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:44 a.m., Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 while in the company of family members, at McPherson Hospital. Aaron was born in Hays, Kansas on July 11, 1954, a son of Wilfred Aloysius Sander and Elaine A. (Quint) Sander.Aaron attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, McPherson Junior High School and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1972. He then attended Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas.Aaron was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church McPherson, Kansas. Aaron worked for Emerson Electric in Rogers, Arkansas, Mr D's IGA, was a Machinist and Lathe Operator at Midwest Industries, and also worked for his wife who owned and operated Border to Border Shuttle Service. Aaron enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, camping, playing pool, attending Winfield Blue Grass Festival, and his family and friends. Aaron J. Sander was united in marriage to Pamela Ann Baytosh on February 23, 1976 at Bentonville, Arkanasas. The young couple established their first home together in Bentonville for a year prior to moving to McPherson. Aaron is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over thirty-nine years, Pam Sander, of McPherson, Kansas; his daughter Wendy Richards and her husband Brian, of Olathe, Kansas; his son Jason Smith and his fiance' Marcy, of Galva, Kansas; his father Wilfred Sander, of Wilson, Kansas; his siblings, Ann Friesen and her husband Jon, of Colby, Kansas, Gwen Cutsinger and her husband Gary, of Wimberly, Texas, Margaret Wedel, of McPherson, Kansas, Carmelita Olson and her husband Bruce, of Fountain, Colorado, Mark Sander, of Salina, Kansas, and Maria Dinkel and her husband Tracy, of Walker, Kansas; his eight grandchildren Tasha, Hannah, Jack, Jordan, Haley, Justin, Sierra, and Brittney; his three great-grandchildren Kevin Allen, Abigail, and Reylen; his two canine companions, Daisy and Ebony; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, a host of friends and his YaYa sisters.Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Sander.Memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 with Fr. Hien Nguyen officiating. Final resting place will be at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas at a later date.
